Meet the Team

Chiropractor Nathaniel Khan D.C.

Hello, my name is Dr. Nathaniel Khan I am a new chiropractor in the Boone county area. However; I have lived my whole life in Boone, Iowa, attending grade school, high school, and community college. My ethnic background is East Indian with my father originally a citizen of the Republic of Guyana in South America. I attended church at First Baptist Church regularly with my family. At the age of 16, I began working part-time at the local Hy-Vee grocery store where I worked in the dairy and freezer department for six years, before I was accepted into Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During the time I worked, I graduated High school in 2010. Then in 2012 I received my Associates Degree from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). I graduated from Palmer in 2017 with my Doctorate of Chiropractic and Bachelors of Science degrees.

Why did I choose Chiropractic?

I was always in the pursuit of a profession in the medical field. During my high school junior year, I attended advanced class work at DMACC’s Hunizker Center in Ames, IA.  Part of the curriculum at the Hunizker Center involved classes in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and CNA.  The classes’ involved student shadowing physicians in other fields of medicine, I shadowed a dentist and a pharmacist. This showed me that I would never want to be stuck in people’s mouths all day, nor that would ever want to be sitting in a pharmacy all day. For CNA class, I worked two days in a local hospital interacting with nurses and other medical personal as well as patients; I also worked two days at a retirement center with elderly patients. CNA class was good to see some of the background things going on in a clinic but is something I will not miss. My interest in chiropractic came after a trip to Des Moines University because I wanted to know more about spinal care and what benefits it had to the human body. After doing some personal searching I decided to go to my local chiropractor to see the workings of the chiropractic profession. Dr. Richard Elbert, in Ogden Iowa, was my local chiropractor I went to. Dr. Elbert had no problem showing me his profession; he enjoyed showing me everything I was curious about. Dr. Elbert told me everything he remembered about Palmer and encouraged me to join the profession. I then went to a Palmer College prospect student event, after the event I knew Palmer and Chiropractic is what I wanted to be a part of for the rest of my life.

I look forward to working with the people of the community of Boone and the surrounding area. My office is located at 228 Mamie Eisenhower Ave. Boone , Iowa. Elizabeth Goerner - Front Desk & Massage Therapist

My name is Elizabeth Goerner. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, Chiropractic Technologist, and a Limited Radiographic Technologist. I grew up in the small town of Colo, Iowa, and graduated from Colo-Nesco High School in 2012. After graduation, I attend Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa, unsure what work I wanted to pursue as a profession. However, I knew that I wanted to help others live a longer, happier, and healthier life.

In 2013, I decided to attend Capri College of Massage Therapy in Davenport, Iowa, deciding it was the right choice for me. I graduated from Capri in 2014 and received my license in Massage Therapy from the State of Iowa. Shortly after graduation, I worked at a local massage company, learning more and more about chiropractic care and receiving it. I learned chiropractic care can help anyone.

Thus, I began my journey at Palmer College of Chiropractic in the Chiropractic Technology program. I graduated from Palmer in 2017 and received my Associate Degree and Limited Radiographic Technologist License from the State of Iowa.

In my free time, I spend time with my dogs Rocky and Teddy, my cat Doritta, watching movies and traveling. I look forward to working with the people of Boone and surrounding areas!
